What does the PTA do?

A major function of the Glenview Elementary PTA is funding staff and programs not covered by our school district. Public schools aren’t allowed to raise money so the PTA is a non-profit designed to fill this need. 

The funds we raise go to support a variety of academic programs and bringing our school community together.  The PTA budget (and lots of volunteer time!) is how we make a range of programs possible:

• Literacy and reading interventions

• PE coach

• Support staff and mentors

• Classroom supplies

• Field trips

• Music programming

• School library

• School site and safety improvements

• Parent education

• Community events like Science Fair, Fall Carnival, Family Potluck, and 5th Grade Graduation
